General Information:

Service Commences

As from 1 June 2004, Sita Coaches has been operating airport transfer services between Melbourne CBD, Werribee and Linfox Avalon Airport.

Meet All Flights

Avalon Airport Transfers will meet all arriving and departing flights from Avalon Airport on a 7-day per week basis.

Booking Requirements

• Avalon to Melbourne: No pre-booking required, purchase tickets at service counter.
• Melbourne to Avalon:
  1. No pre-booking required for pick-up's at 167 Franklin St & Southern Cross Station (previously known as Spencer St Transit Centre). Passengers boarding this service at Southern Cross Station to purchase tickets from Firefly Coaches sales desk. Cash sales only.
  2. CBD Hotel pick-up's by "pre-booking" only with 48 hours minimum notice. Bookings to be made via email or fax only, no bookings taken over the phone. Pre-payment by Visa or Mastercard is required.
• Werribee to Avalon: Operates by "pre-booking" only with 48 hours notice. Bookings to be made via email or fax only, no bookings taken over the phone. Pre-payment by Visa or Mastercard is required.
• Avalon to Werribee: Purchase tickets at service counter.

Travel Times to Avalon (approx.)

• Franklin Street (60 minutes); Southern Cross Station (50 minutes); Werribee (25 minutes).

Bus Stops

• Melbourne CBD bus stops are located: -
• At the kerb side outside 167 Franklin Street [Hotel Discovery Cafe].
• Southern Cross Station (previously known as Spencer Street Transit Centre) (Sales booth at Firefly Coaches).
• Door-to-door service to hotels and accommodation venues on request.
• Outer suburbs (up to 6kms from Melbourne CBD) services hotel and accommodation venues only
• Werribee RSL, in Synnot Street.

Mobility Assistance

• Passengers requiring assistance with mobility should contact Sita Coaches reservations on (03) 9689 7999, Mon-Fri (8:00 am to 5:00 pm) and at least 48 hours prior to travel.

Fares & Payment

• Fares for Avalon Airport Transfers are subject to change without prior notice and are subject to Government (Or Private Enterprise) imposed taxes, tolls and any other unforeseen fees/charges.
• Payment for Avalon Airport Transfers tickets purchased at Avalon Airport or Southern Cross Station can only be made with cash. No credit card facilities are available.
• Payment for bookings made via our online booking page can be made with Visa or Mastercard only.

Customer Service Counters

• Located at Avalon Airport to assist passengers with travel information and to allow payment of fares.
• Located at Southern Cross Station (previously known as Spencer Street Transit Centre) (Firefly Coaches sales outlet).

Luggage

• Limits apply to passenger luggage (ie. 2 bags per passenger).
• Excess luggage will only be carried at the discretion of Avalon Airport Transfers staff and is subject to an additional charge at $5.00 per item.
• An animal or bird in an appropriate receptacle (container or cage) may only be taken or conveyed on bus (Guide dogs accepted).
• Bikes can be carried if dismantled and secured in a box.
• No warranty of transportation for large or irregular shaped objects is made.

Cancellation Policy

• Failure to board without providing a minimum of 4 hours notice to Avalon Airport Transfers will result in a loss of fare.
• Fares are non refundable.

Smoking, Alcohol and Illegal Drugs

• Prohibited on Avalon Airport Transfers services.
